The Trump administration reportedly is considering using funding from several other government agencies, including the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), to help fund Immigrations and Customs Enforcement’s mass deportation of illegal migrants.
Money targeted for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Coast Guard also could be redirected to ICE, NBC News reported.
All the departments fall under the Department of Homeland Security, and the executive branch is allowed to move money appropriated by Congress from one agency to another within a department, the outlet said.
