Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, told Newsmax on Thursday that Congress should crack down on “safe haven” areas for immigrants with legislation to “secure our border” after reports of illegal crossings on the Southern coast.
Hunt, appearing on “Finnerty,” was asked about a report from the Miami Herald about two dozen Chinese migrants who were smuggled to Florida from Cuba and why they would have gone there instead of Texas.
“This is about sticking your finger in the dam to stop all the water, and the water is going to have to go somewhere else,” Hunt said.
