KMJ: 100 YEARS IN THE VALLEY wins an Emmy®

The KMJ video documentary KMJ: 100 YEARS IN THE VALLEY was awarded an Emmy® for Outstanding Achievement Historical/Cultural Documentary at the Northern California Area Emmy® Awards on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in San Francisco. KMJ Program Director, Blake Taylor was there to accept the award along with Director/Producer, Jeff Aiello and Producer, Laura Goodreau and their team.

In this Valley PBS Original Documentary, filmmaker Jeff Aiello tells the rich history of News Talk 580 & 105.9 KMJ as it celebrates 100 years of being on the air.

From its beginnings in music and popular serial programs to the leading news talk powerhouse station that it has become today, the journey of KMJ’s past is revealed by current and former on-air personalities who bring this story to life.
