(KMJ) – Fresno Police arrest an admitted paroled gang member following a pursuit that ends in a major collision.
Just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Officers saw a white Lexus commit a traffic infraction near East Olive and North First. As they tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver, 35-year old Albert Guerrero, instead sped off at a high rate of speed.
His escape attempt came to a crashing end a short time later when Officers say Guerrero’s car slammed into another vehicle. He fled the scene and hit out in a near-by neighborhood. Fresno Police set up a perimeter and used a K-9 officers to eventually find and arrest him.
Albert Guerrero, who is a self-admitted CVL Bulldog gang member, was found to be on AB 109 probation for evading police with reckless disregard. Additionally, Guerrero had 2 outstanding felony warrants for probation violation and assault with a deadly weapon.
He was arrested for the above charges and was also arrested for the new charge of evading arrest and hit and run.
