WANTED – Hit & Run Driver Who Injured Burn Center Doctor

The doctor who worked on injured Fire Captain Pete Dern – now needs help, himself – the victim of a hit & run..

Dr. William Dominic is the Director of the Leon S. Peters Burn Center at CRMC.

On Friday, February 26, 2016, at 12:54 a.m., Dr. Dominic was riding his bicycle home after finishing his work at the hospital.

He was traveling northbound on Fresno Street at the intersection with Holland (Fresno & Gettysburg), when he was struck from the rear by a tan Toyota Camry or similar vehicle – like the vehicle in the photograph.

The driver fled the scene while dragging the bicycle underneath the vehicle.

Dr. Dominic was severely injured, and has received extensive medical care, remaining in the hospital as of March 15, 2016.

So far, the vehicle, the driver, and the bicycle have not been located.

Dr. Dominic was riding a black Bianchi Freemont road bicycle, similar to the model in the photo.

Dr. Dominic has helped many people in Fresno over the years, and now the Fresno Police Department is asking the people of Fresno to help solve this case.

The Fresno Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating any witnesses, the driver, the bicycle, or the vehicle.
