FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — As the job market recovers, Americans appear to be more confident in their career prospects, giving them more time to focus on interests outside of the office.

That’s according to a new survey by staffing firm Robert Half, which finds that 54 percent have increased their commitment to their personal life.

Most agree that a good work-life balance is essential.

Tips for succeeding including eliminating distractions and setting aside time to complete critical tasks, disconnecting at some point, as staying connected 24/7 is unhealthy, as well as planning your vacation well in advance, and making the most of it.
