DOJ Agent’s Son Sentenced To Life For Double Murder

The son of a special agent with the Department of Justice is sentenced to life behind bars for a double murder.

Prosecutors say back in 2014, Eloy Romero Jr. shot and killed two Norteno gang members execution style, while they were riding in a car.

38 year-old Joseph Blunt of Santa Clara, and 40 year old George Duarte of Reedley were found deceased in a vehicle near the intersection of Buttonwillow & Jefferson on May 12th of 2014.

The 26 year-old said that it was revenge for his mother’s death – but prosecutors said she died of natural causes.

In December, a Fresno jury found him guilty of two counts of murder.

Now, A judge has sentenced Romero Jr. to send the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.
