FRESNO (KMJ) — Former Fresno PD Officer Alfred Campos has pleaded not guilty on charges relating to an auto-theft case.
He appeared in Fresno County Superior Court this morning on two counts – one for receiving stolen property – and the other for perjury.
He was looking nervous and not saying much while he was in front of the judge – but strode confidently out of the courtroom when the hearing was over.
Campos is charged with being in possession of a stolen pick-up truck – when he took it to be serviced on Blackstone in Fresno. A mechanic there noticed the VIN numbers didn't match up with the paperwork – and that's when he called the cops.
Campos has been released on bond – and is set to return to the courtroom for his pre-preliminary hearing on March 25th.
