The U.S. is in “deep trouble” fiscally but finally has someone to audit the government to “have accountability for the American people” and a president who is “actually doing what he said he’s going to do,” Rep. Victoria Spartz, R-Ind., said Friday on Newsmax.
“We’re in deep trouble. I was kind of talking to my colleague and compare us fiscally to the Titanic,” Spartz said on “Newsline.” “And he says, ‘Well, a lot of my colleagues think that we are a submarine.’
“And guess what? We are not a submarine. We are sinking. We’re in deep trouble. And if we don’t come after the fraud and abuse, a lot of Americans are going to really be hurt with all of the funds going bankrupt, the country going bankrupt, and we will not be able to keep promises to seniors. So, we have to come after them.
