5.7 Earthquake in Nevada Was Felt in Fresno on Monday

FRESNO, CA, (KMJ) – An earthquake struck in Nevada and could be felt in Fresno on Monday afternoon.

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded by the United States Geological Survey in Lyon County, about 13 miles North-Northeast of Yerington, Nevada.

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake took place 29km NNW of Silver Springs, Nevada, United States at 23:08 UTC (5 minutes ago). The depth was 2.9km and was reported by NEIC. #earthquake #earthquakes #SilverSprings #UnitedStates pic.twitter.com/vL5q9MhfoE

The quake struck 220 Miles from Sacramento, but was felt in Fresno at Radio City, with microphones swaying.

No damage or injuries were recorded.

The quake came a week after a 7.0-magnitude quake was recorded by the United States Geological Survey in Humboldt County.

That quake shook the West Coast and prompted a tidal wave warning.
