Two Cities Marathon Takes Place Sunday

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Two Cities Marathon will take place in Northeast Fresno on Sunday.

The City of Fresno says there will be multiple road closures on the race day – November 3rd.

Clovis Community College is both the start and finish location.

Runners will travel through Northeast Fresno on streets including Friant, Shepherd and Willow on the 26 mile marathon path.

The race starts at 6:30am.

Shuttle parking is available at Clovis West High School.

Road closures begin at 5:00 AM on Sunday unless otherwise noted.

Full Marathon

FOR YOUR SAFETY THE TWO CITIES MARATHON AND HALF COURSE WILL BE MARSHALED FOR (7) HOURS FROM 6:30 AM UNTIL 1:30 PM. AFTER THIS TIME REMAINING PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DIRECTED TO USE SIDEWALKS AND OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS. HOWEVER, THE FINISH AREA, COMPLETE WITH TIMING MAT, WITH TIMING WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 2:00 PM. For those that would like to run/walk a distance on their own time and place. Virtual participants will receive a finisher’s medal, event shirt and an event hoodie mailed to the address they registered within 2 weeks after the event. Race Day Information

Race Day Information(Tentative) 

• Race Date: Sunday, November 3rd 2024
• Expo: Saturday, November 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM(The Well Community Church-Clovis Campus)

• Start Time: Marathon & Half 6:30am ~ 10k 6:40am ~ 5k 7:00am 

•Daylight Savings on SUNDAY morning! Clocks go back 1 hour!!

• Start/Finish location: Clovis Community College corner of International and Willow


ARRIVAL TIME
Staging will be allowed in the start venue as early as 5:15 AM and all runners are 
encouraged to arrive no later than 6:00 AM

 

PARKING AND VENUE ACCESS
Parking lots are located on Clovis Community College off of Willow Ave. A second larger parking lot is located on Clovis North High School campus across the street from Clovis Community College, International and Willow

After Your Event: Willow will be open for South Bound traffic. 

If leaving venue after 10:30, you now will be able to use Friant Ave via Copper Ave.
 
Traveling from Fwy99 or Fwy41 (South of Fresno):
Take Fwy168 East to Bullard off-ramp turn left on Bullard – Turn right on Willow. 
Proceed 4 miles to International. Turn left to park. 

Traveling from South of Shepherd Ave:
Northbound Willow Ave will remain OPEN during the duration of the event. Parking 
lot is off of International Ave and Willow.
North and Southbound Minnewawa Ave will remain OPEN during the event.

 

Shuttle Bus Parking

To alleviate traffic congestion, we have added a Shuttle Bus service(extra charge processed at registration). The shuttle bus will run from 5am to 1:30pm, from Clovis West High School to the Start/Finish line. The shuttle bus parking lot is located at Clovis West High School(1070 E Teague Ave, Fresno, CA 93720.) The last time to purchase a shuttle bus pass will be at our Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday Nov 2nd. DUE TO LIMITED BUS CAPACITY WE WILL NOT SELL SHUTTLE PASSES DAY OF EVENT. Last shuttle bus to leave Clovis West to get you to the start line on time is 6:00am. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHUTTLE BUS PASS IS NOT INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION. ONLY THOSE WHO SELECTED THE “SHUTTLE PASS” OPTION WILL BE ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE SHUTTLE BUS! 

 

START AREA
The staging area and starting line are located in the south part of the campus just  north of Behymer. Abundant restrooms will be available. Medical personnel will be present to service unexpected medical needs.
