Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy Rescues Puppies Abandoned in Rain Near Coalinga

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy rescues puppies abandoned in the rain near Coalinga.

While on patrol on Tuesday, Deputy Andrew Rechsteiner was alerted that puppies had been abandoned on the side of the road at Oakland and El Dorado Avenues.

He responded to the area, finding two puppies huddled up in a vineyard next to the busy roadway.

He was able to get the dogs into his patrol vehicle, and wrap them in towels.

Deputy Rechsteiner turned the puppies over to Fresno Humane Animal Services for care.
