FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The deadline approaches to apply for a grant through The City of Fresno to fund non-profit pet rescue organizations.
On Monday, the Fresno Animal Center announced the Animal Rescue Support Grant program.
The funding supports organizations that provide services to further reduce Fresno’s euthanasia rate and reunite pets with owners.
Eligible expenses include animal supplies and operating costs, which includes but is not limited to food, shelter, potty pads, medical supplies, blankets, spaying and neutering, vaccines, medication, and deworming.
The City of Fresno says funding for this grant is $2,500 per organization and to be eligible the organization must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit status in the city.
Applications are due by Jan. 26, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
