BAKERSFIELD (KMJ) – The parents of two boys missing for more than 14 months in Kern County are now charged with their murders.
On Wednesday, Kern County DA Cynthia Zimmer revealed that Trezell and Jacqueline West have been indicted on charges of second degree murder and child cruelty, and filing a false emergency..
The couple are believed to be responsible for the deaths of their two young adopted boys; 4-year-old Orrin and 3 year old Orson West, who vanished from their California City home in December 2020.
“This morning I’m saddened to announce that our investigation has revealed that Orrin and Orson are deceased. This investigation has also revealed that they died three months before their adopted parents reported them missing.”-Kern County DA Cynthia Zimmer
The Kern County District Attorney says the children’s bodies have not been found.
Zimmer said each parent could face a max of 30 years to life in prison if convicted on all charges.
