FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A missing Fresno man has been found dead in a canal.
On July 1, 2021, at approximately 1:00pm Fresno Fire Department rescue personnel recovered a body in a canal in the area of Dayton Avenue and College Avenue.
Early Friday, the Fresno County Coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the deceased as 67-year-old Charlie Vang.
Mr. Vang was reported missing on June 15, 2021 and was reportedly last seen attending a funeral service in the area of Chestnut Avenue and McKinley Avenue.
At this time there is no indication of foul play and the circumstances regarding how Mr. Vang entered the canal are unknown.
