FRESNO, CA. (KMJ) — The City of Fresno is continuing to house the homeless through Project Off-Ramp, Fresno’s initiative to clear homeless encampments along the freeways.
Project Off-Ramp is providing an off-ramp to homelessness and an on-ramp to a better, more productive life.
Outreach workers assist the homeless by offering housing and services based on their individual needs.

Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer has been assisted in the clean-up effort by several partners including Cal Trans and the California Highway Patrol.
The Poverello House has also been helping by providing on-site food during the relocation events as well as providing outreach workers.
Mayor Dyer provided an update to the Project Off-Ramp efforts Thursday.
He said the clean-up effort was focused on the eastbound side of the 41 Freeway from Ashlan to Friant.
Mayor Dyer said that 14 people are occupying hotels rooms from Project Home Key.
“We anticipate somewhere between 25-27 people we were able to relocate into housing, today,” said Mayor Dyer.
