FRESNO, CA (KMJ) — Fresno Police identified the man they say is responsible for a deadly shooting in Southeast Fresno as 25-year-old Andrew Levi Hammond.
Hammond is accused of killing 41-year-old Fernando Gonzalez.
Just before 10:00 pm, back on Monday, September 28, Fresno PD’s ShotSpotter pinged six rounds fired in the 4600 Block of East Washington Avenue, in the area of Chestnut and Belmont.
Police said a series of 911 calls then came into dispatch.
There was a group of people outside the home when officers arrived, and Gonzalez had been shot, and was next to the front passenger door of a vehicle parked out outside.
He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center but died a short time later.
Investigators have an active Ramey warrant out for 25 year old Andrew Levi Hammond.
He’s considered armed and dangerous.
