FRESNO ,CA (KMJ) – Another death is coming out of a nursing home in the South Valley while more than a dozen new cases were reportered by Fresno County health officials.
Fresno County had 973 COVID-19 cases on April 22, 2020, 13 new cases, 384 total, only 245 cases were active, 132 people recovered, 7 died.
The other hot spot was in Tulare County where another person died from complications at Redwood Springs Health Center.
The Visalia nursing home has seen 16 deaths as of Wednesday, April 22, with 109 patients and 16 staff members testing positive for coronavirus.
5 new COVID-19 cases reported brings Tulare County up to 441 cases, and 25 deaths.
Merced County had 93 cases but the saw a large number of recoveries – 56 in the 24 hours since Tuesday’s numbers were released.
Madera County was holding at 36 cases, only 150 miles away from where it’s been determined that the first COVID-19 deaths took place in Santa Clara County on Feb 6, 2020, and not in Washington state, as previously thought.
Kings County still had 32 COVID-19 cases..
Mariposa County still had zero cases.
