11 Dead in California from Coronavirus

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – As of 10:00am Tuesday morning, the California Public Health Department records showed 11 people had died from Covid 19.

Ten of the victims were California residents.

The state’s health department has been updating the public through its twitter account.

Tuesday morning, the health department had tweeted that there were 472 total positive COVID 19 cases in the Golden State, but that number is fluid.
Health officials are investigating 193 cases.

There may be more cases as testing becomes more prevalent.

So far, 98 cases fall into the category of community acquired.

82 cases are considered travel associated.

75 people who have coronavirus acquired it person to person.

US leaders from President Trump on down are stressing this is the time for social isolation, to reduce the curve of cases that will end up in the hospital, creating a challenge for the country’s medical network.
