FRESNO, CA. — The California National Guard’s 144th Medical Augmentation Team has been activated to support the state’s COVID 19 stabilization efforts.
The activation involves 10 airmen, to include a physician assistant, two nurses, six medics and a medical plans officer.
The 144th, based in Fresno, will support Governor Gavin Newsom’s Emergency Medical Services Authority (CAL EMSA) operations in Monterey, CA.
