SELMA, CAlif. (KMJ) – The Fresno County Public Administrator’s Office is currently managing the estate of Selma resident George Garabedian, who passed away in 2019.

For years, Garabedian operated a business called Geo’s Jewelry, located at 1937 High St. between 1st and 2nd in Selma.

Garabedian permanently closed Geo’s Jewelry in 2010 after the building’s roof collapsed.

Garabedian continued to work as a jeweler at his home, according to those who knew him.

Public Administrator staff found a safe in his house containing several envelopes like the one picture, some dating back as far as the 1980s.

Inside the envelopes are items like watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, and coins.

The envelopes contain minimal information, so there is no way to contact and return them to the rightful owners.

If you or someone you know thinks one of their items may have been in Mr. Garabedian’s possession, please contact the Fresno County Public Administrator’s Office.

You will be required to provide a detailed description of the item belonging to you.

If you have a receipt or claim ticket, please provide that as well.
