LEMOORE,CA (KMJ)- A Car running a stop sign last night in Lemoore turned out to be reported stolen, in Hanford.
A Lemoore Police Officer watched as the car ran a stop sign at the intersection, which prompted them to follow.
When checking the license plate, the officer learned that the car had recently been reported as stolen out of the City of Hanford.
The officer attempted to stop the car at which time the suspect sped off and a pursuit was underway.
Officers chased the car for about 13 minutes around the City of Lemoore until the suspect turned into the cul-de-sac of Linda Lee Circle.
Officers were able to block the suspect’s escape and ordered the driver out of the vehicle.
The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as 23 year old Branden Bell of Lemoore.
He was transported and booked into the Kings County Jail for vehicle theft and other charges.
