UPDATE: Police say the teen suffered frostbite and is being treated for exposure to his feet. He was found by two skiers. Witnesses said he was able to walk to the helicopter.
UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the teenage boy Nicolas “Andrew” Alcantara missing in Millcreek Canyon has been found alive, according to Detective Ken Hansen.
The sheriff will address the media, and a DPS helicopter will be there to transfer the teen to a Life Flight helicopter.

Salt Lake County, UTAH (KMJ) – Search and rescue crews in Utah are looking for a teenage boy from Fresno who went missing in salt lake county.
Police there said the 17-year-old was going to take a hike in Mill Creek Canyon on Thursday.
The teen took an Uber ride with the intention of going on a 16 mile hike at around 9:00am.
Authorities said he did not tell anyone his intended route.
The teen was supposed to come off the mountain and meet someone for dinner around 6:00pm Thursday night… but never arrived.
Police pinged the boy’s cell phone to an area called Rattle Snake Gultch.
Further attempts to ping the boy were unsuccessful.
The Unified Police Department says the boy is not believed to have much experience in cold outdoor conditions.
His parents work for the Fresno Unified School District and mother has flown to Utah.
Hansen says Nicolas’ mother is traveling to Utah from Fresno, California, where he is originally from.
The teen was in Utah for college applications. He had planned to come with someone, but that relationship changed so he came alone, according to Hansen.
Nicolas was wearing a tan coat, tan snow pants and a black baseball hat.
Police are asking for the Uber driver to come forward in hopes of getting more information. The driver is not considered a suspect in the teen’s disappearance. Authorities have also requested additional search and rescue resources.
