TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – The jury in the case of Erika Sandoval has hung, said Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward.
A future trial date will be set.

The Office of the District Attorney is committed to continuing the prosecution of this case.” – Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward
Erika Sandoval was accused of shooting and killing her ex-husband, officer Daniel Green at his Tulare County home back in 2015.
Sandoval claimed Green had threatened to take her son away and that she didn’t want to lose him.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office say Sandoval described hiding in Green’s home, took away his weapons and ultimately shot Green multiple times in the bathroom.
A judge had ruled that there is enough evidence to charge Sandoval with first degree murder.
The District Attorney’s office was seeking the death penalty in this matter.
