Hanford Woman Facing DUI Charges After High Speed Chase

(KMJ) – A Hanford woman now faces a series of charges for allegedly leading Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed chase while under the influence of marijuana.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says a Deputy began following Laura Walls around 2:30 pm Friday on Highway 43 near Elkhorn Avenue.   She reportedly sped off, hitting speeds over 120 mph while weaving between lanes.  The pursuit ended when Walls clipped another vehicle and struck a concrete pillar under the 99 on Highland Avenue in Selma.  Deputies add the driver she hit was not hurt

The Sheriff’s Office says Deputies reported a strong odor of marijuana coming out of her vehicle and say Walls was exhibiting signs she was under the influence.

Walls was booked into the Fresno County Jail and charged with Evading police, Reckless driving, and DUI
