FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The goal is to raise $500,000 in reward money to find the murderers of four Hmong men.
The fund was created by Council Member Miguel Arias who will be working closely with the Fresno Center and the leaders within the Hmong community to support to the victim’s families, who are now facing funeral costs that were unexpected.
Around 30 people –adults and children were in the backyard in Fresno watching a football game, when gunfire broke out.
Police said one or more shooters opened fire randomly.
Fresno Mayor Lee Brand stood alongside Miguel Arias, Esmeralda Soria, Garry Bredefeld and Nelson Esparza Wednesday at City Hall, with families of the victims from Sunday’s quadruple murder, who were there to hear the announcement.
Fresno Police already vowing to support the community, and the Ditrcit Attorney Lisa Smittcamp making her pledge.
Council members announcing that $30,000 was already raised.
