FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A traffic stop for expired plates turns into car chase, ending by Radio City when the suspect car plows into another.
It started about a quarter after 10:00 Thursday morning.
Fresno Sheriff Spokesman Tony Botti said a deputy tried to pull over a car with expired registration at Gettysburg and Palm, when the car took off.
The chase began.
The two suspects looped around on Fruit then made their way across Palm, and the vehicle ended up-crashing into another car by Shaw.
The woman driving the other car was not injured.
The two men were placed into the Sheriff’s Deputies’ SUVs, while deputies searched the vehicle.
Fresno Sheriff Spokesman Tony Botti said a search found a loaded gun and syringes of meth.
Botti said the driver is going to jail for probation violation, evading police, reckless driving resulting in property damage and possession of a loaded gun.
Botti said the passenger is going to jail for possession of methamphetamine.
