FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A 35-year-old man is found guilty of sexually assaulting, kidnapping, and robbing a nanny in Northeast Fresno.

Prosecutors say it was early in the morning on June 22, 2018 when Joseph Ward attacked the 25-year-old woman.

The nanny was walking near Woodward Park with a one year-old baby in a stroller at the time.

Prosecutors say Ward saw her with the baby, and forced her back into the home in Woodward Park where she was working, then attacked her.

Ward assaulted her inside the house, afterwards he demanded she drive to an ATM and take out $200 cash.

Ward was charged with 12 felonies.

On Thursday, August 29, he was found guilty on all counts by a jury at Fresno County Superior Court.

Ward is on his third strike.

At his sentencing, he is now looking at life behind bars.
