MERCED, CA (KMJ) – The Applegate Park Zoo in Merced has a need for volunteers.
If you like to work with animals, spending some time at the zoo can be rewarding, and give zookeepers the extra set of hands that they need this time of year.
Every Wednesday at 3:30, they have their volunteer program orientation.
You can volunteer if you’re 16 or older.
The zoo says you’ll be working with native and rescue animals.
Volunteer tasks include helping prepare their diet, feeding the animals and creating enrichment items.
Contact Applegate Zoo for an application.
