MADERA RANCHOS, CA (KMJ) – A Valley high school student who was once a patient at Valley Children’s want to give back to the hospital in a dramatic way – literally.
Sierra Steffenson will be going into her senior year at Liberty High School in Madera Ranchos.
She said wants to go into directing, and wrote a play with her best friend for a school club.
She then decided to make it a fundraiser for Valley Children’s Hospital and they accepted her offer.
“100% of our profit, we have to pay back our expenses of course, but everything else we make will got to the hospital,” said Steffenson.
Her play is set in the 1920’s, the audience will be part of a dinner party.
The Year is 1925…
Step into the Roaring 20’s where local mobster, Matthew Wright, has invited you to his dinner party in celebration of his successful business ventures. Join us for a night of mystery, intrigue, and entertainment as you meet not only the host himself, but dear friends and colleagues too. Unbeknownst to all, a murder will take place. Cooperate with fellow dinner guests at your table to find the identity of the killer and bring them to justice.The 1920’s Covert Killing is a charity benefit dinner in which all proceeds go to Valley Children’s Hospital.
“You are invited as a guest to a speakeasy. This guy – he’s a mobster, he’s going to make a special announcement – he is going to talk about his business ventures, then unfortunately a murder will take place and you’ll have to work with your table to try and figure it out,” said Steffenson.
The 1920’s mystery dinner party will be Friday July 26th at the Dante Club of Fresno, at 6176 N Grantland Ave, Fresno, from 6- 10 p.m.
Spaghetti will be served.
