FRESNO (KMJ) – A motion filed by California, to stop the border wall in the state.
California’s attorney general Xavier Becerra annoucing Wednesday he’s filed a motion to permanently prevent President Donald Trump from constructing a wall in California and New Mexico, along the Mexico border.
The Attorney General arguing that quote “The president’s actions are unlawful, threaten our Democratic institutions, and cause irreparable harm to our states.”
“The problem with his thinking is that, national security and the border is exclusively in the realm of the federal government,” Kapetan said.
Attorney Mark Kapetan saying it’s an overreach it an overreach by Becerra.
“So I don’t know how he’s going to challenge the federal government, the national government, against border security,” Kapetan said.
