Paradise High School Students Overcome Wildfire Challenges to Graduate

PARADISE, CA (KMJ) – Paradise High School Students are graduating this week – post wildfire.

Cheers went up Thursday night as 220 Paradise High School Seniors recorded the day when they received their diplomas, posting it on Facebook.

It was a far cry from the challenges many have overcome in the last six months due to the devastating wildfire.

85 people were killed last year as the Camp Fire ravaged the town.

Of the 980 students, about 900 lost their homes.

Paradise High School sits alone, as nearly every building around it are gone.

Seniors decorated parking spaces with bright colors, with their graduation they’re looking to build a new future.
