2 Adults, 2 Teens Arrested in a Series of Fresno Robberies

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Four arrests are made in a series of robberies in Fresno.

The robberies began on January 26, Fresno Police said just before 10:30 that Saturday night, the Palm Bluffs Liquor Store at 585 W. Nees was struck by two armed men wearing masks, demanding money.

The suspects held the employees at gunpoint while they removed cash from the register, then fled the store on foot.

The next weekend, around 4:00 am Sunday, Feb 3, three people hit the 7-11 at 5785 N. Palm by Bullard.

Officers on scene learned the nearby 7-11 at Shaw and Maroa had also just been robbed.

Police found that the armed suspects description matched.

The cases were determined to be related however, the 7-11 at Shaw and Maroa was found to be a County Island so the case was handled by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Fresno Police detectives reviewed surveillance video footage.

On Tuesday, Feb 5, the Street Violence Bureau’s Tactical Team, M.A.G.E.C, and United States Marshall Service made their move, finding evidence related to all three robberies and airsoft replicas at two locations in Northwest Fresno and one location in Southeast Fresno.

20-year-old Jaheem Starks and 22-year-old Michelle Sanchez from Fresno were both arrested.

They were booked into the Fresno County Jail for multiple charges of robbery.

Two juvenile males ages 15 and 16 were also arrested and booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Hall for multiple counts of robbery.
