FRESNO (KMJ) — A group of pianists have once again been recruited by Fresno Yosemite International to grace passengers traveling through the terminal. The players will grant a musical interlude to passers-by as part of efforts to brighten the airport experience during the busy holiday season.

The second annual Holiday Music Program started Monday and features a “Madagascar Ebony” Crown Jewel Steinway piano.

“This is part of our ongoing Arts & Culture Program here at the airport,” explains Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle. “We’re going to have some great entertaining performances by a talented group of pianists.”

That group includes Dr. Ben Hakobyan, Eliza Hakobyan, Andrea Draw, Karey Nickel, and Vince DiCiccio. Each player will be performing during peak flight times and during the late-night departure to Mexico.

“We look forward to brightening the airport experience this season,” added Meikle.
