(KMJ) – Corcoran Police arrest a man caught allegedly setting off illegal fireworks in front of his home.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of Sherman Avenue around 12:43 a.m. Monday after receiving multiple calls of airborne fireworks being set off in that area.
When Officers arrived, they say 27-year old Julio Castaneda was holding illegal fireworks and a lighter in his hand. A search of his open garage turned up multiple boxes of illegal fireworks worth approximately $1,000.
Castaneda was arrested for possession of illegal fireworks and illegal discharge of fireworks within city limits. The remaining fireworks were confiscated and turned over to the Kings County Fire Department for disposal.
