Peace Officers Memorial Honors Those Killed In The Line Of Duty

FRESNO (KMJ) — Law enforcement of Fresno County have remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The ceremony in Downtown Fresno Thursday saw personnel from numerous agencies gather in remembrance and observance.

“One thing I hear from the survivors and the families that’s most important to them, they say ‘please don’t forget.’ This is part of keeping that promise so we don’t forget,” explained Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims.

The event also marked the 20th anniversary of the Fresno County Peace Officers Memorial in Fresno’s Courthouse Park. A total of 60 names have been etched into the granite.
