FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A three-vehicle accident involving a loaded school bus took place Wednesday in Northwest Fresno.
It happened about 4:00 just outside Radio City on Shaw and Harrison, involving an SUV, the school bus and another car.
The bus was filled with students from Bullard Talent Elementary and Baird Middle Schools.
Parents who were notified by their children were arriving to pick up their kids.
“My daughter called me immediately. I just work down the street so I came. She said ‘I’m on the bus there’s been an accident, so maybe you need to pick me up. So, I said ‘OK,’ so I came here immediately.” – Parent.
CHP and police were outside along with Fresno Unified transportation officials.
The district officials made a list of the kids on the bus, and were releasing them to the parents who were waiting outside.
Another bus was arranged to transport the rest of the students to their regular bus stops.
