FRESNO (KMJ) — A new elementary school is soon to open in Southeast Fresno, and officials want your help choosing a name.
The latest campus is set to be built at 5090 E. Church Avenue, between Willow and Peach Avenues. Fresno Unified hopes to have it open for the 2020/2021 school year.
The rules for selecting a name are:
1. Individuals, living or deceased, who have made outstanding contributions to the county or community
2. Individuals, living or deceased, who have made contributions of state, national or worldwide significance
3. The geographic area in which the school or building is located

Closing date for suggestions is March 19th, and the choices will then be submitted to the Board of Trustees for its consideration.
