FRESNO (KMJ) — Two wanted suspects from Mississippi have been arrested outside a Southeast Fresno gym. The call on Tuesday came after passers-by alerted police to a suspicious vehicle with two people sleeping inside.
After checking plate information and speaking to the pair within, the responding officer established that the vehicle belonged to a wanted homicide suspect out of Adams County, Mississippi. The occupants were identified as 28 year old Isaac Garner and 26 year old Cassandra Trahern. The two had an outstanding arrest warrant for murder, and were considered armed and dangerous.
Fresno Police add that a gun, possibly used in the homicide, was also inside the vehicle. Both suspects will be handed over to Federal Marshalls for extradition back to Mississippi.
