Family Says Tulare Woman Killed In Midwest – Wants More On Her Husband

LENEXA KS (KMJ) — A Central Valley woman is appealing for information to help investigators in the Midwest.

It comes after a discovery at the end of last month of a man living with two small children in a storage facility in Lenexa KS. That saw the arrest of Justin Rey on child endangerment charges, but officials also found human remains inside the unit. Family members say they belong to Tulare woman Jessica Monteiro Rey (click here to read more).

The remains are yet to be officially identified by the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office in Kansas City MO, where investigators believe the death took place.

“We need anyone that has ever had any contact with Jessica or Justin Rey to come forward about any violent or negative behavior he had towards my sister to help build a stronger case against him,” explained Sara Monteiro.

“We’re needing anyone to come forward with that information and contact Kansas City Missouri Police Department and Lenexa Kansas Police Department as well.”

Sara Monteiro added that those familiar with Justin Rey could be anywhere in the United States, including California, Nevada, and New Mexico.
