The woman killed in a Friday afternoon boating accident at Pine Flat Lake has been identified as Bonnie Kalanick, 71 of Northridge, CA.

She is the mother of Uber founder/CEO Travis Kalanick and Fresno firefighter Cory Kalanick.  Their father Donald Kalanick, 78, was hospitalized and is expected to survive.

On Saturday, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Dive Team and Boating Enforcement Unit teamed up to recover the wrecked boat from the water.  Initial reports are the boat struck rocks and sank.

The Kalanick’s had a pet dog on the boat with them during the crash.  The dog survived and is currently being cared for by family and friends.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
