FRESNO (KMJ) — A person has died after a fatal crash at Highway 99 and Fresno Street. It happened near the Downtown Fresno area.
The CHP reports that a vehicle was veering between lanes Friday morning on northbound Highway 99 and went up an embankment and crashed into the Fresno Street overpass wall. The reason for the crash remains unknown.
Three people were inside the car at the time. The passenger passed away but the other two, including a juvenile, are in the hospital.
It caused major disruption to the northbound side of Highway 99, with traffic backing up from Fresno Street to south of the 99/41 connector ramps.
