FRESNO (KMJ) — The person accused of carrying out a murderous shooting spree in Southeast Fresno – has had his arraignment delayed.
Kyle Holaday was scheduled to appear inside Fresno County Superior Court’s Department 34 Wednesday morning. He’s facing six felony charges: one count of murder, one count of cruelty to animals, and four counts of attempted murder.
Fresno County Sheriff’s Office states that, during the Friday night incident close to the intersection of Tulare and Villa Avenues, the suspect’s step-father James Willcoxson was killed. Deputies add that the suspect’s mother, two 28 year old family friends, and a 5 month old girl, were also injured and they were all taken to the hospital.
Fresno Police reveal that the 26 year old suspect was then hit by a car while fleeing the scene. That put Holaday in the hospital, and he remains in care inside Fresno’s CRMC.
“He could not be here today,” reveals his attorney Scott Baly. “So the arraignment was continued until Monday.”
Baly reveals that he saw Holaday prior to appearing in the courtroom.
“I did see him yesterday, he was unconscious for the short period of time I saw him.”
The U.S. Army veteran’s bail has been set at $7,542,500.
