When the Olympics are over in Rio, the game will still be going on.
The Paralympics begin in Brazil on September 7th, and the Central Valley’s own Jeff Fabry will be going for gold once again.
The Archery Director at “Break the Barriers” in Fresno will try to win his second gold medal in archery at the Paralympic games. He won his first gold medal in 2012, after earning bronze medals in 2008 and 2004.
Fabry got into archery as a way to get back into hunting after losing his arm and leg when he was 15-years-old in a car accident.
He will compete in the Men’s W-1 Compound competition, the same event he won his gold in four years ago.
