A 3 million dollar warrant is issued for the doctor in a child molestation case.

The Merced Sun Star reports the North Valley pediatrician failed to appear in court, June 9th, 2015.

35-year old Carlos Teran Miranda was accused of putting a video camera in a restroom–and recording people, even children while they were using it at Merced Medical Clinic.

The camera was found by police in January, Miranda was arrested in February.

Miranda was supposed to appear before judge David Moranda in the Merced Superior Court, but he did not show.

His lawyer, Thomas Fleming, says he had not contact with his client.

Teran Miranda had pleaded not guilty to molesting 3 autistic children, possession of child pornography, and invasion of privacy.

Investigators say the boys, ages 6 and 8, and a 9 year old girl stated the doctor molested them during medical exams in November 2014.

The Merced County DA filed the three new felony charges against him, last week, for committing lewd acts on children.
