FRESNO (KMJ) — Donald Trump is coming to Fresno, and if his previous visits elsewhere in the country are anything to go by, it’ll be a busy event.
The presumptive Republican nominee will now speak inside Selland Arena in Downtown Fresno Friday morning. The event was original scheduled to be held inside the Fresno Convention Center, but has since been moved.
“I think Mr. Trump understands the importance of Fresno”, says his California campaign manager Tim Clark. “It’s one of the leading agricultural production areas of the entire country, and I think that Mr. Trump understands that”.
There will be a big push to ensure security is on point when trump arrives. Donald Trump’s visit to Albuquerque Tuesday was met with protests, reports of rocks being thrown, and fires being lit.
“The advanced team, the Secret Service, and of course the Fresno Police Department and the Sheriff’s Department are all excellent at what they do”, adds Tim Clark. “We’re certainly in good hands there”.
Here in the valley he already has supporters ready to turn out, many of which were present at the Bill Clinton speech at Fresno State on Monday.
The public can sign up to see Donald Trump, the link you need can be found clicking here. Doors open at 7am, and the speech starts at 10am.
