Fresno Memorial Gardens Honoring Veterans On Memorial Day

MEMORIAL GARDENS

FRESNO, (KMJ) Fresno Memorial Gardens and the VFW Post 5057 is preparing for their 53rd Memorial Day Service of Remembrance.

Each Memorial Day they pause for a brief time to reflect on the veterans who have sacrificed for our liberties and freedom.

More than 1400 full size American Flags will again line the avenues of Fresno Memorial Gardens as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5057 conduct their official Memorial Day Program.

This years’ event will once again have patriotic music performed by the Golden Note Chorus and the Fresno Stag and Thistle Pipe Band.

Members of VFW Post, together with a host of volunteers, will prepare the West’s largest display of freestanding American Flags.

This year’s honoree is George B. Flores, Chief of Police Department of Veterans Affairs.
