One Person Critically Injured After Being Stabbed After Fight In Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) — The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fight on Sunday that left one person critically injured.

At around Noon, a group of young men approached a man in the parking lot of a gas station near Lincoln and Elm avenues in Easton.

A fight broke out and one of the young men was stabbed, and they jumped into a car and sped away, presumably to take the injured man to Community Regional Medical Center in Downtown Fresno.

Just outside of the hospital, the car was invoved in a wreck at the corner of R and Fresno streets.

A passerby picked up the man who was stabbed and took him to the hospital, where he was rushed into surgery and remains in critical condition.

Officers detained everyone else in the car for questioning.

The man originally approached at the gas station suffered minor injuries during the fight.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is still working to determine what led to the fight and determine what arrests might need to be made.
