Brooke Rollins won confirmation as the new Secretary of Agriculture by a 72-28 Senate vote.
She also becomes only the second woman to lead the agency.
The 52-year-old Texan was Trump’s domestic policy chief in his first term and recently headed a Trump-aligned think tank.
Rollins recently said she hopes to see an ag trade deficit turn back into a trade surplus.
