Popular Local Restaurant Landing Soon at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

Fresno, CA – A local culinary favorite is landing at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) to complement the airport’s existing food and beverage concession program. Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant will operate a 2,000 square foot mariachi and vibrant folklórico themed restaurant space in the shops and dining area of FAT’s new terminal expansion concourse. Coinciding with FAT’s historic expansion scheduled to open this fall, Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant will offer a traditional dining menu for a seated dining experience, full-service bar with specialty beverages, a panadería serving fresh-baked pastries, grab-and-go items, coffee service, and more.
“Fresno Yosemite International Airport is pleased that Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant will be serving their authentic menu items in an upbeat atmosphere that the community has come to enjoy for decades, and we look forward to sharing this Fresno favorite with travelers flying through our airport,” said Director of Aviation Henry Thompson. “A local Mexican dining concept has been a common traveler request and being able to bring the Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant experience to FAT is timely with initiatives to offer new amenities inspired by our travelers.”
Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant has been a well-established local dining favorite for more than 30 years. The establishment currently has a storefront restaurant in the city of Fresno near Shaw and Blackstone Avenues, as well as a second concept in downtown Fresno.
“It is with great honor that Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant brings the authentic taste of Mexico to FAT. We are thrilled to share our vibrant flavors and culinary traditions with travelers from around the world, providing them with a memorable dining experience during their journey,” said Ricardo Flores Gaona, owner of Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant.
The Airport teamed up with community partner Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation (FAHF) to identify the most fitting and traditional Mexican cuisine ideal for FAT. This community partnership met regularly over the past year to evaluate various concepts that would appeal to international travelers and be well-received by all travelers seeking a varied dining experience with travel-friendly food options. Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant met these objectives and has been selected to join FAT’s food and beverage concession program.
Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant will operate their concept through a licensing agreement with FAT’s food and beverage concessionaire SSP America.
